Blue Marble Travel : A great looking tour if you have the stamina...Tour de France - 3 weeks Combines 3 of the French routes: Northern and Southern Burgundy, Bordeaux & the Dordogne, the CĂ©vennes, Provence, Champagne, the Loire Valley, Alsace, “Switzerland” route, and the Basque Country. On their site, you'll find an overview of the trip, a map to see details of cycling in each of the regions, prices and departure dates. If you have the legs for it... it sounds great!

eurodestination.com : Witness the Tour de France Finale in Paris. Be at the finish line on Paris' Champs Elysees for the close of the 2009 Tour de France. Suggestions for Single Parent Holidays

Here's the problem many single parents face when they try to book a vacation with their kids: most prices are based on two adults and double occupancy. Obviously you don't want to pay an adult price for your eight-year old who eats nothing but chicken fingers and won't be enjoying a poolside pina colada. So what's the alternative? Here at Travelbeen we have complied a list of sites that are specifically for the single parent. The below list is not exhaustive. For more suggestions visit out site http://www.travelbeen.co.uk/

ChildFriendly.co.ukTake the stress out of researching your holidays as a single parent. Child Friendly compares the very best single parent holidays on the market - from short weekend breaks in the UK to longer beach holidays abroad. Their selection of well established tour operators are specialists in lone parent escapes, ensuring both you and your little ones have both a fun and relaxing holiday with the chance to meet some new friends. They have a list of top 10 single parent holidays. You can also join The Single Parent Travel Club which is a great way to meet other single parent families and organise your next holiday abroad or day out in the UK.

Holiday with Kids: Single Parent Travel. For some time now single parents have been asking us about holiday destinations, resorts and activities that are particularly suited to their circumstances. While many travel agents and hotels often assume that single parents have the same requirements as traditional families, this isn’t so. In fact, there are two main problems potentially facing single parents: money and time. This is a great site for single parents that will help you plan your next holiday. For single parents on a limited budget, single supplements on holiday packages and hotels rooms can be a burden, and additional childcare adds to the expense. With this in mind, this site has found some cheaper options and made suggestions that will enable you to enjoy a reasonably-priced holiday. They are also aware that many single parents these days are skilled professionals who come from affluent households and want quality resorts and facilities for which they’re willing to pay. They reflect this new reality in their wide range of accommodation and holiday suggestions. It is worth bookmarking this site and joining their Single Parent Travel Newsletter.

TravelQuest is a portal that may help you plan your next holiday with the children. It has a section on lone parent holidays and vacations for single parent families in the UK, Europe and Worldwide, including single parent adventure and activity trips. A search for Single Parent will bring up an array of companies that specialise in single parent holidays, dedicated single parent departures, and companies that welcome single parent families with special deals, discounts, help, child care etc.

TravelMuse When it comes to family travel packages, single parents with children often get the short-end of the deal, essentially paying the price of two adults. To get the most for your money, work one-on-one with a travel agent to save time and frustration, or join a single parent travel club, to keep up-to-date on the latest travel insights. Keep in mind that most single parent travel discounts on accommodations are only offered in the low season. TravelMuse will help you sort all this out. This site seems to really understand the pressure and needs of the single parent. There are interesting articles such as Single-Parent Family Travel, Father-Son Surfing, Just the Two of Us and Tips for taking a one-on-one parent/child vacation while leaving the other parent and siblings at home.

The Independent Traveler is an interactive traveller's exchange and comprehensive online travel guide for a community of travellers who enjoy the fun of planning their own trips and the adventure of independent travel. Single parents face several challenges when it comes to vacationing with their kids - such as keeping costs under control. While the main goal is to spend quality time together as a family, you should be able to have some adult fun in the process sans children. The travel industry has recognized this growing segment of the population and as a result, more vacation options for single parents are available. This informative site offers many tips and links to really useful companies that specialise in single parent holidays.

Mango Holidays sometimes referred to as MangoKids run holidays for single parents with their children. Small families with just one or two children are often penalised by the big tour operators who charge for two adults. Mango is the only tour operator to offer a discount to these small families for all children up to the age of 16 travelling with just one adult. Going on a Mango Holiday is an opportunity for single parents to meet other single parents and many single parents become friends and stay in touch after their holiday. Mango is not a single parent dating organisation. If you are interested in single parent dating you should check out our links page, which recommends a few organisations helping single parents meet. Being single with kids can be a daunting experience but it can be fun and we have designed a programme of holidays and weekend breaks for solo travellers with children to make sure they have some fun. Our solo holidays for single parents with children consist of adventure and activity breaks, ski holidays and holidays in the sun. Mango single parent holidays take place in the UK and overseas. In the UK we have holidays in Devon, Brecon Beacons and Pembrokeshire and we have a Christmas Party weekend in Warwickshire at the end of November. Mango holidays for single parent families overseas travel to Mallorca, Malta, Cyprus, Jersey, Morocco and Lapland to see Santa
